The entry-level Canon PowerShot A3000 IS is based about a 10 megapixel, 1/2.3″-type CCD picture sensor combined to an optically stable 4x zoom lens that provides focal lengths which range from an extremely tight 35mm wide position to a 140mm telephoto.

Highest aperture differs from f/2.7 to f/5.6 over the zoom range. Pictures on the Canon A3000 must be presented and examined on its 2.7-inch LCD panel, as there is no true optical viewfinder on this digital camera. The A3000′s screen has a quality of 230,000 dots.

The Canon A3000′s sensor allows breathing difficulties including ISO 100 to ISO 1,600 equivalents. Exposures are decided using Evaluative, Center-weighted Average or Spot metering, and immediate control of shutter velocity or aperture is not feasible on this digital camera. 2.0EV of publicity payment can be obtained, in 1/3EV increments.

Seven white stability modes can be found on the Canon A3000 – Auto, Manual, or five presets. The PowerShot A3000′s built-in flash strobe has a selection of 13 ft at wide angle, shedding to just 6.6 ft at telephoto, and recharges in close to 10 secs.

In addition to still photos, the A3000 can catch videos at VGA quality or below. The Canon PowerShot A3000 stores photos on SD / SDHC / SDXC / MMC / MMC Plus / HC MMC Plus cards, and abnormally for a PowerShot A-series camera, draws power from the proprietary Lithium Ion battery power.

Battery life is ranked at 230 photos on a charge, to CIPA testing requirements. Connection options include USB 2.0 high-speed data and NTSC / PAL standard description movie.
